Worn out phrases - Joy in the journey

All the different routes we take to find joy - we each have a personal journey

God offers us the journey of Joy -The journey of faith!

There is joy in the journey of faith!

How can you have joy in your journey of faith?

Jesus won't fail

1) Live with great expectations in Jesus!

V18b-21 - continuing joy. V19 - Paul knows Christ will come through!

People praying! Debby Bilyeu for me - that encouraged me -Value of church family

Spirit of Jesus - Preach it! God with you!!

No matter what happens, it will turn out for our deliverance

V20 - Paul has great expectations in Christ!

Earthly expression, eternal existence - To live - to die - each way is a victory!

The fear of death – Missy - never did get it! When you die you will be with Jesus! Our loss, their gain!!

LIVE WITH GREAT EXPECTATIONS IN JESUS

A no account - how many live no account lives? Not investing in eternal matters?You can have joy in your journey

2) Live convinced your account matters!

V25 - Paul knows he will continue.

V22 - The account of fruitful labor - his work will be fruitful

“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” - 1 Corinthians 15:58

Never give up! You are doing it for Christ and His church - V24 - for you

V25 - The account of serving others - progress and joy in the faith - "God has a plan" yet he's not in it! Joy is found in helping others!

Conclusion

Lincoln family tree – extinct - kind of sad? You can live a life that will never go extinct! Whether you live or die - Jesus will be exalted! You can leave a legacy of faith and the joy of the faith! Live in confidence, and convinced! Then you will have taken the journey of joy!
