Text: Ephesians 5:21

God has a design and you fall in - how you muster for the Master! God’s people muster for the Master! We keep Jesus first and others second! How do we find where we fall in?

1) Keep Jesus First

“out of reverence” - This statement and how it influenced me - Over all things! Thinking – speaking – serving - Jesus first - HOW?

A) Learn about your Savior - His great love for the Father - ”For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

How He falls in - With honor for the Father - determination for the mission - 1) Good news -2)Teaching - 3)Design for you - Follow me!

B) Find that in his majesty there is liberty - All authority is His! He is healer, deliverer, savior - There is freedom in Him - Master of the wind - Luke 8:24

Keep Jesus first and you will muster in reverence! You will come out second!!

2) Embrace second place!

“submit to one another” - Submit - rank yourself under - carry another’s burden

”Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.” - Romans 12:10

A) Where grace is found - servant leadership - John 13: 16-17 - Pride = disagreeableness

People want the title but not the toil! Two places - submission or rebellion - servant or self - leadership? Grace? God opposes the proud gives grace to the humble.

B) Where promotion is found! King of the hill - help someone to victory and they will help you! God promotes Servant leaders! ”For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Principal of attrition - Those who embrace second place will build influence - authority, impacting the world in great ways!

Ask yourself this question: Instead of being critical, castigating, condemning - ask “How can I second this person?”

Conclusion

The muster was memorable, awe inspiring, encouraging - What if each on of us truly kept Jesus first and stayed in reverence? In our personal lives, family, work, church? What if we each one embraced second place and gave God a chance to promote us to greater and greater things? Our muster will be memorable - How your children remember you? How your spouse relies on you? How your co-workers can count on you? How OHC will impact the world for Jesus?
