Faithfulness Adds Up

Text: Joshua 24:14-15
Universe - what’s the use? What keeps us from anarchy? Heaven! God! He is faithful and that inspires us to be faithful!
Problem? It’s easy to become unfaithful! Thesis: Stay faithful to the faithful God! Q: HOW?
1) Faithfully Fear Him
“Fear the Lord” - Why? Beginning of wisdom - How? Psalm 33 - Think on these things! Imagine coming face to face with Jesus!
What is awesome to you? What is magnificent to you? What is wonderful to you? FORGIVENESS! GRACE! HEAVEN!
2) Faithfully serve Him
“and serve Him with all faithfulness.” - sincerity and truth – integrity - Stay true! Job 2:1-10 - God considers His servant Job!
Even in desperate times! He stayed true! How? 1) Titles don’t matter; the mission does! 2) Change is accepted if it serves the mission.
People stay faithful to the will and work of God - Faithfulness adds up! Our lives! They will matter!
3) Faithfully choose Him
Choose this day. As for me and my house - Decisions, decisions! Choices! Constantly barraged!
Faithfully, daily, choose Christ! We will follow, serve, and worship Him! HOW?
1) Know the idols! Forefathers, across the river- the current culture- values of family, know what they are! Or else conformity sets in - Road kill - blend in and lose faithfulness!
2) Stay off the fence! Politicians - please all - don’t live to be liked, live to be approved! God’s ways, will, and word!
3) Begins with you - “as for me” spreads through your house! Lydia, jailer - Acts 16: 14, 31
Conclusion
Today choose to stay faithful to the Faithful God! Gave His own Son! Value faithfulness.

It adds up!
