Text - Ephesians 4:14-16
Me - wanting to grow up, be in adult conversations - kids table?! Getting driver’s license? Don’t grow up too fast?! God has a plan for our growing up - that’s why church is so crucial - not any church - a kingdom congregation! A Kingdom Congregation is growing up in Jesus! How do we grow up in Jesus!
Rock and Reason!
1) Truth is our Rock and Love is our Reason!
V14 - Stability. V15 - ability. V16 - unity, community.
A) Stability - Living on the rock! Truth! How people are swayed - even pastors?
“Speaking the truth” - “truthing it” - What is truth? John 18:37-38 - God is Love! John 17:17 - learn it! John 8:32 - hold to it!
“We know the truth not only by the reason, but by the heart.” - Blaise Pascal
B) Ability - Able to frame all things in love. How? C.A.R.E.
Truth without love is brutality; love without truth is hypocrisy.
We grow up into Jesus!
C) Unity and Community - Whole body – strong, supple, athletic! Held together
Not disjointed but joined! A community pulling together instead of pulling apart!
Grows up, builds up in love! Our unity in purpose! Built up in love! The reason!! Every one matters! Every one has a part! The truth! Lost sheep!

Conclusion
Cast the vision! What if we build on the rock? What if we loved one another? We will grow up! What happens when we grow up? Begin to have influence and impact!
Rock and rule - Rock and Reason! God wants us to each be part of a Kingdom Congregation! It’s time to Rock and Reason!
Commit to build on truth and grow in love.
