Text: Mark 12:28-34
OHC - We are seeing the Kingdom of God expand!!
People settle for the status quo - where faith no longer exists – cliquish - they are satisfied with their group - comfort zones are established and complacency sets in. How continue? LOVE!! Love is elusive, difficult to have! You can find love! It’s on the Kingdom way.
Love is the Kingdom way. How do you love?
1) Be Decided
V29 & 32 - There is only one God like our God!
Moses was a great leader, yet he was the humblest man of the face of the Earth. Why? He knew his God! Then he will bless!
Beware of a sneaky form of idolatry - yourself over God! Submit to God! Surrender yourself! Remain humbled!
Faithfulness is a reality at OHC!
2) Live determined
V30 - People all in for God! Nursery – crowded. Joy! The totality of love for God - heart, soul, mind, strength.
How? Daniel, Samson, you. Hebrews 11:6 - you must seek him!! He will reward you with his Glory! You’ll experience God, and God is Love.
V31 - Why does Jesus add this? It’s part of the principal. On the Kingdom way you will.
3) Stay different
Love yourself! Discover God values you and loves you - ONE OF A KIND!! Discover God’s grace and you will be a person of grace and love and forgiveness. 2 Tim. 1:9 - you have it in you to love!! You can break out of the status quo and tendency to develop a clique! You will evidence the glory of God in your life!You will be ready to rescue!
Conclusion
OHC is right now on the Kingdom way! We are in love with God, self, neighbor. We will see God’s glory in our own lives and in our community. V34 - Will you take the Kingdom way?
