Willing Hearts Will Bless
Text: I Chronicles 29:10-20
God’s hand is upon OHC! Why? How can I say that? A year ago where were we? Where are we now?
God’s hand is for willing hearts! He blesses, builds, and grows a body/person with a willing heart.
WILLING HEARTS TELL, TEACH, AND SERVE! WILLING HEARTS WILL BLESS! (weary hearts)
God’s hand is for willing hearts - Q: How to we keep this willing heart? Lost focus? Lost purpose? Lost passion? (weary hearts)
1) Keep a thankful heart
V10-13 - Do you see the praise of God?
Have you ever been so thankful about something you wanted to shout? Christmas time? Then you thanked the person profusely? A willing heart has A Profuse thanks! HOW?
A) Eternal V10, B) Owner - five words to live by! C) Sovereign - V11-12 - This is MY God!! D) Source - all power! All resources! Provider!! Isaiah 40:28-31 - “Do you not know?” Phil 4:4-7 - “the Lord is near.”
A thankful heart will impact the kingdom of God - OHC: People are telling people who are telling people! Since God loves people we love people and that means more people will be thanking God!
God’s hand is for a heart of thanks
Did your parents ever say to you, “Be seen and not heard?” People want to be recognized, praised, applauded. I saw this in the bluegrass world - Yet God’s hand is not for the proud.
2) Keep a humble heart
V 14-16 - “Who am I?” Without dependence and reliance on God we will live a futile existence! Inept and incapable of real influence!
A) V14 - We are able because He makes us so - B) V15 - We have hope because he give us hope! C) V16 - We are entrusted by Him to be a blessing! Isaiah 66:1-2 - It’s from God and it’s for us! Our time (faithfulness) given? Our talent (gifts) given? Our treasures (money) given? The Almighty that has blessed us to be a blessing - it is from Him and for Him! OHC is bursting at the seams with humble hearts! Pareto's Principle - The 80/20 Rule - means that in anything a few (20 percent) are vital and many (80 percent) are trivial. Not so with God! Please not so with us!
We know “pride goes before destruction a haughty spirit before a fall.” A humble heart will impact the kingdom of God! More souls won! More souls singing and serving the savior! Knowing that we are nothing without Him! KEEP A HUMBLE HEART!! Willing hearts will bless 100% of the time!
Reality of OHC - How people are telling me they will be gone - Why? They love their church and what God is doing. We have willing hearts!! Yet the culture, time, and troubles leech the willingness out! God loves people! We love people - people are drawn to love! A blessing to the world!!
3) Keep the willing heart
V17-20 - “I know” - David knows willingness blesses! How? Look at his life!
Tested - Bathsheba - Nathan - forgiven! Now God’s Glory - Honest intent - Goliath - faith! Now God’s glory! Look at the people - V 17 - willing hearts abounding! Giving time, talent, treasure.

The result? Joy! V 17
Pray for loyalty and legacy - when I first came to OHC how my prayer evolved
V18 - the desire to see God worshiped! Willing hearts are drawn to loyalty - why? They know the hurt of betrayal! V19 - “wholehearted devotion” to God’s word and way! There is a need for tomorrow!
Conclusion
God’s hand will be on your life and this church forever if you have a willing heart!! Can you imagine what OHC might look like in another year? Willing hearts will have God’s hand with them! God’s bountiful blessings, abundant gifts, and marvelous favor will rest on us! Remember this: God’s hand is upon those whose hearts are for Him-in other words- God blesses willing hearts! More people giving time, talent, and treasure all for God’s blessing! Let’s keep the heart God blesses!
